Mario Ruiz never let Hollywood get something going. The Boston right-hander commanded his sinker in pitching the Whistlers to a 5-1 win. Blake Bryant picked up the save for Boston, his 27th of the year. The Whistlers sit in first place in the American Conference Central Division with a record of 61-44.

Brian Roseman, who finished 5th in the AC in wins above replacement with 6.0 last year, contributed to the Boston win with a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
