Scorpions Get Dramatic 3-2 Triumph
|
The Syracuse Scorpions faced a tough opponent in Vancouver pitcher Joe Brackett, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Scorpion Stadium by a final score of 3-2. Brackett went 6 innings and allowed no runs. The Scorpions move to 52-53 with the win, while the Caribou drop to 43-62.
Bobby Tapia was the walk-off hero for Syracuse. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Scorpions third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Tapia said in his postgame press conference.
