Vancouver Falters Again, Loses, 7-0, to Syracuse
|
Jason Cox, the 2nd overall pick in the 2022 draft, was terrific for the Syracuse Scorpions in his team's 7-0 triumph over the Vancouver Mounties. His performance earned Cox rave reviews. The winner was Cox. He threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Ryan Heyer. The current losing streak for Vancouver has reached 7 games.
Guillermo Ramos, who finished 3rd in the AC in doubles with 41 in 2020, chipped in a 3-run home run for Syracuse in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Vancouver manager Zaire Hyde. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
