5 Straight Wins for Pines
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Maine Pines and the Philadelphia Marauders, pitcher Ryan Henry was the difference between victory and defeat. The Maine right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-1 Pines win. The first-place Pines have won 5 in a row.
In the bottom of the sixth, Maine first baseman Josh Alcorn put his team on top. With no one out and a runner on 1st, he hit his 16th home run of the year. Philadelphia pitcher Albert Fabian served it up. Just like that, the Pines were ahead, 2-1.
"Every loss stings," said Philadelphia manager Danny Ordaz. "This one is no exception."
