Cincinnati Royals starter Stuart Maness kept the Detroit Giants hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Cincinnati now owns a record of 62-42.

In the bottom of the 5th, Cincinnati took the lead on a bases-clearing double by Jaden York. At the time, the Royals were trailing 2-0, but York's hit with two outs against Detroit pitcher Quito Herrera put them in front, 3-2.

"I thought we played a nice game," York told the Cincinnati Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
