The Maine Pines took on the Detroit Giants at Ballpark of Detroit.

The Maine Pines topped the Detroit Giants by a score of 7-4. Leading the way was second baseman Pat Grayson. Grayson was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Pines. The win was credited to Matt Schmid in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Jon Haynes took the loss. Chris Radke wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save.

Tony Ochoa, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2013, aided the Maine cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Ochoa told the Maine Chronicle.

The first-place Pines bumped their record to 68-36.
