The Syracuse Scorpions beat the Vancouver Mounties, 5-3, at Scorpion Stadium. The win was due in part to third baseman Bobby Tapia, who went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Mike Kelley earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-3. Syracuse has a record of 42-62, placing them third in the American Conference Central Division.
