Little Rock Gets 4-1 Win
|
Little Rock beat Aurora on the strength of starting pitcher Caleb Bond's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-1. Andy Roberts closed the door for Little Rock, picking up his 14th save of the year. Little Rock goes to 38-9. The win puts them 3½ games up in their division.
Little Rock used the stroke of David Anast to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Golden Gophers ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
Little Rock manager Jose Moreno commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
