Nightmare Sunk by Royals
|
Cincinnati turned a fine outing from starter Casey Abbott into a victory over the New York Nightmare at The Castle. The final score was 5-0. Nate Miller picked up the save for Cincinnati, his 2nd of the year. With the win, Cincinnati raised its record to 60-43.
Brian Miller went 1-4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI for Cincinnati. The two-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Chris Brown. It was his 29th walk of the season.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Miller said after the game.
