At Estadio Azteca, the San Diego Fleet and Halifax Heathens were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Halifax third baseman Austin Compton made his presence felt in the 7-3 Heathens triumph over the San Diego Fleet. Compton went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Jonathan Allen earned the win to go to 1-2. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts in 5 innings of work. Miguel Berrios locked down his 1st save.

With Halifax leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Compton hit a 3-run home run off San Diego hurler Rodolfo Soto. It was the 4th home run of the season for Compton and put his team ahead, 4-0.

"This was a total team effort," said Compton.

San Diego now has a record of 6-5.
