Gangsters Take Home 3-2 Win Over Tampa Bay
In a low-scoring tilt between the Chicago Gangsters and the Tampa Bay Captains, Sam Palacios, who is tied for 2nd in the AC in strikeouts with 153, was the difference-maker. The Chicago right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Keith Kramer locked down his 17th save. The Gangsters saw their win-loss record go to 38-64. At the same time, the Captains fell to 36-66.

In the top of the second inning, designated hitter Manny Gonzalez had a 2-run home run for Chicago. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Gangsters on top, 2-0.

Gonzalez told a Chicago News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
