Scorpions Lose to Whistlers, 4-3
|
The Syracuse Scorpions and Boston Whistlers delighted fans at Whislters Park.
The Boston Whistlers earned a win at Whislters Park, knocking off the Syracuse Scorpions, 4-3. On the bump for Boston was right-hander Danny Offen. He had a starring role in the triumph. Blake Bryant collected save number 26.
Had A.J. Cook not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Cook hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Whistlers.
Cook attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
The first-place Whistlers have won 5 in a row.
