Starting pitcher Dennis Allen did his part in helping the Oakland Invaders thwart the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles, 1-0. In 6 innings, Allen surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Cody Fields earned the save for Oakland, his 2nd of the year.

Oakland used the timely hitting of Jonathan Amorin to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Invaders on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Dennis was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Oakland manager Dillon Moyer.

Oakland is now 50-52, while Daytona Beach is 43-59.
