The Syracuse Scorpions beat the Tampa Bay Captains, 4-3. Syracuse pitcher and Thousand Oaks, California, native John Landgren led the way. Syracuse is now 45-56, Tampa Bay 39-62.

Tom Lusardi was the walk-off hero for Syracuse. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Scorpions first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Lusardi said in his postgame press conference.
