Trash Pandas Win at Home, 6-1
|
Toronto used a superb performance from starting pitcher Jesus Fernandez to down the Indianapolis Eagles, 6-1. The winner was Fernandez. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Ray Dappen. Toronto is now 53-48, Indianapolis 56-45.
Toronto right fielder Jaylen Taylor helped the Trash Pandas go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Taylor hit a run-scoring single off Indianapolis pitcher Ray Dappen.
Toronto manager Walt DeRosier called it "a darn good win."
