Trash Panda Field was the site of a competitive game between the Carolina Reapers and Toronto Trash Pandas.

The Toronto Trash Pandas took Carolina pitcher Steve Cates's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Trash Panda Field. The final score had Toronto getting past the Reapers, 1-0. Cates went 7 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 4. Jay Waltman snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-0 on the season. Bryan Mitchell suffered the loss.

Toronto took a 1-0 lead on Mike Townsend's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Townsend hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Carolina pitcher Bryan Mitchell shaking his head.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Townsend. "And not try to do too much."

The Trash Pandas, now 8-2, have had a terrific start to the season.
