LeFevre Helps San Francisco Cruise to 10-3 Win
The bad news for the Carolina Reapers: an opening day loss, 10-3, to the San Francisco Fire at Reedy River Stadium. The good news: it was just game one in a long season. No one played better than Mark LeFevre. He was 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2.

San Francisco used a well-timed hit by Franklin Reyes to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Fire ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," LeFevre told the San Francisco News.
