Invaders Edge Past Reapers, 3-2

Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Oakland Invaders and Carolina Reapers.
The Oakland Invaders picked up a win at Howard Terminal, knocking off the Carolina Reapers, 3-2. Starting pitcher Randy Fischer played a key role in the triumph. At 47-53, the Invaders are currently third in the National Conference South Division.
Oakland got a knockout punch from Ryan Ward. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Feels good to get the job done," Fischer said after the game.
