Dan Miller, who is tied for 8th in the NC in wins with 9, was locked in. The left-hander led the Maine Pines to a 6-4 win against the Toronto Trash Pandas at Oakhurst Field. Mike Poussard earned the save for Maine, his 9th of the year. The National Conference North East Division-leading Pines have a record of 70-30.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Pines catcher Bruce Richards hit a changeup from Moises Cruz for a 2-run single. Just like that, Maine was up, 5-4.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Miller. "Successful pitchers do it."
