The Cincinnati Bearcats are off to the Elite 8 after an exciting Sweet 16 triumph.

Cincinnati downed the Arizona Wildcats, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 6-5 win tonight at Hi Corbett Field wrapping up the series 2-1.

"It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Ken Guzman, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series.

Guzman put up a .667 with a .714 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 0 home runs, drove in 0 runs and scored 2 runs himself.

The Cincinnati Bearcats will play against the Iowa State Cyclones in the next round. Iowa State won their series against the UCF Knights 2 games to 0. The Elite 8 schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes.
