Tigers Cruise to Elite 8 with Sweep
It was a sweet sweep for the Clemson Tigers as they eased past the Pittsburgh Panthers to advance to the Elite 8.

Clemson won the final game by a 7-1 count and the series 2-0.

"We're just fortunate to get through it quickly and be able to rest up for the next series," said Jeff Higdon, who was named series MVP.

For the series, Higdon hit .600 with a .600 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs.

The Clemson Tigers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Louisville Cardinals - Nebraska Cornhuskers series. Louisville leads the series 1 game to 0. The Elite 8 schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes.
