Spirited fans greeted the San Diego Fleet for their clash with the Vancouver Caribou.
Caribou right fielder Mark Riley left his imprint on his team's 8-1 win over the San Diego Fleet. Riley went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times for Vancouver in the contest. By defeating San Diego, the second-place Caribou improved to 55-45.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Cesar Ornelas? The Vancouver left fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Caribou on top, 3-1. For the game, Ornelas had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Ornelas said after the game.
