Pines 3-1 Winners Versus Cincinnati

Ryan Henry never let Cincinnati get something going. The Maine right-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Pines to a 3-1 win. The winning pitcher was Henry, now 10-6. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 10. Dan Miller closed the game out for Maine, earning his 9th save.
Maine used a clutch at-bat from Steve McKinstry to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Pines ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I made a lot of good pitches," said Henry. "I was right where I wanted to be."
The third-place Royals dropped to 56-43.
