Trash Pandas Beaten By Reapers, 5-2
|
Carolina Reapers starter Antonio Enriquez turned in an exceptional performance against the Toronto Trash Pandas at Reedy River Stadium, resulting in a Carolina win, 5-2. The winning pitcher was Enriquez, now 1-0. He tossed 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Getting the save was Bryan Mitchell, his 1st.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the third inning, but Enriquez was able to pitch out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Toronto trailing 1-0, Enriquez retired John Gadsden, who grounded out.
Carolina goes to 5-5.
