The Dallas Dragons did just enough to sneak past the Phoenix Gladiators, 6-5, at Gladiators Ballpark. Dallas pitcher Kyle Connell, in particular, had a standout performance. Rick Ways earned the save, his 20th, for the Dragons. At 41-58, the Dragons find themselves in last place in the American Conference South Division.

Jay Thibodeaux hit a 2-run triple off Johnny Keener in the top of the second, which put the Dragons in front, 2-0. Thibodeaux had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 5.

"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Connell.
