Stars Get One-Run Win at Dallas
|
The Hollywood Stars and Dallas Dragons played an exciting game.
Hollywood Stars starter Logan Mayhew found his groove in his team's 3-2 win over the Dallas Dragons. The winning pitcher was Mayhew, now 9-7. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8.
Hollywood used the timely hitting of Adam Cooper to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Stars ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Mayhew.
At 43-55, Hollywood is in last place in the National Conference West Division.
