Marauders Sunk by Gangsters

Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Chicago Gangsters and Philadelphia Marauders.
The Chicago Gangsters picked up a win at The Hideout, knocking off the Philadelphia Marauders, 5-3. On the mound for Chicago was right-hander Bobby Nowlin. He played a key role in the triumph. Getting the save was Keith Kramer, his 15th.
Billy Manuele dealt the Marauders a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Chicago leading 2-1, Manuele hit a 0-1 sinker for a 2-run single.
"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Gangsters," said Manuele.
At 35-63, the Gangsters find themselves in last place in the American Conference Central Division.
