Eagles Pin 6-4 Loss on Daytona Beach
|
Eagles designated hitter Jerry Robinson left his mark on his team's 6-4 win over the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles. Robinson, who finished 2nd in the NC in home runs with 42 in 2023, was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Indianapolis in the contest. Aaron Daniels, the winning pitcher, is now 1-1. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 11 hits, while fanning 2 and walking 0. The win gives Indianapolis a record of 6-4.
Early in the game, Robinson had a 2-run home run for Indianapolis. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Eagles on top, 2-0.
"We've got to get out of this funk," said Daytona Beach manager Ken Bennett.
