Stars Get Hard-Earned Win
The Dallas Dragons and Hollywood Stars provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Hollywood Stars overcame a pretty good performance by Dallas catcher Cameron Polen, beating the Dragons, 12-11, in 10 innings. Polen went 3-6 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The first-place Stars have a record of 56-42.

Hollywood used a timely hit from Carlos Miranda to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Stars ahead, 12-9. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"Baseball's a game where I feel like almost everything that happens is strange," said Miranda. "Maybe that's why it's such a great game."
