Froerer Deals Fountain Hills 5-1 Setback
John Froerer, who leads the AC in strikeouts with 190, imposed his will on the 23ers from the get-go. Relying mainly on his changeup, the right-hander spearheaded the 5-1 Syracuse triumph. Ken Allbaugh got the save, his 28th in 34 chances. The victory gives Syracuse a record of 51-47.

Froerer's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 5 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 2 hits. Froerer, who finished 2nd in the AC in strikeouts with 316 in 2020, goes to 7-4 on the year with 190 strikeouts.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Froerer told the Syracuse Daily.
