The Long Island Torpedoes picked up a win at Wegman's Field, downing the Buffalo Bellflowers, 8-4, in 10 innings. On the mound for Long Island was right-hander David Ruano, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Torpedoes are now 63-77.

Long Island needed the clutch hitting of Phil Stonehouse to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Torpedoes on top, 5-4. For the game, Stonehouse had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Torpedoes manager Moises Gonzalez.
