Moncton right fielder Dave Poth made his presence felt in the 7-5 Mounties triumph over the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates. Poth hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Cory Crabtree converted his 7th save in 12 tries. Moncton now owns a record of 64-69.

Poth had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 fastball from Jose Navarro, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Mounties a 7-5 lead. It was the 16th home run of the year for Poth.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Poth said.
