5 Straight Wins for Cubs
|
The Moncton Mounties got a superb performance from pitcher Tarjei Wiese, but the Franklin Cubs still won the game, 6-2. Wiese came in in relief and pitched to 17 batters. Brent Holt earned the save for Franklin, his 4th. The 5th-place Cubs have won 5 in a row.
The Cubs got a big at-bat from designated hitter Brad Bull. For the game, Bull was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Franklin a 2-0 lead.
