Bellflowers Earn 5-3 Home Win
|
The Buffalo Bellflowers dealt the Terra Linda Chargers a 5-3 loss at Wegman's Field. Adam Larson, who is tied for 3rd in the NC in stolen bases with 30, was the star on offense. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was David Hernandez. He tossed 101 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits. Pedro Tello earned the save for Buffalo, his 34th of the year.
The Bellflowers got a big at-bat from first baseman Derek Vance. For the game, Vance went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 16th home run of the season gave Buffalo a 5-3 lead.
