Terra Linda Makes It 7 Straight with 5-1 Win
|
Terra Linda Chargers starter Larry Weese turned in a top-notch performance against the Long Island Torpedoes at Ballpark of Plantersville. The result was a win for the Chargers, 5-1. Chris Williams earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 9-1. The win for the Chargers raised their record to 88-35.
Mike Bolden helped out the Terra Linda cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a solo home run. For the game, the center fielder was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks.
"Pedal to the metal" is how Terra Linda manager Elias Quesada described his team's approach.
