Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Eagles
The game between Indianapolis and Daytona Beach is in the books, despite a little rain.

Daytona Beach got a valiant performance from pitcher Antonio Sanchez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Indianapolis Eagles. Indianapolis won the game, 3-1. Sanchez threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The win elevated the Eagles to 49-47.

John Thaxton hit a 3-run home run off Fernando Hernandez in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Eagles ahead, 3-1. In addition to the homer, Thaxton had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"Watch and learn," said Thaxton. "This is what good pitching looks like."
