San Francisco designated hitter Dennis Quesada contributed significantly to his team's 5-3 win over the Halifax Heathens. Quesada, who is tied for 8th in the NC in home runs with 22, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Fire. San Francisco reliever Vinny Narvaez picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Andy Swift took the loss. The Fire improved their record to 43-53 with the win over Halifax.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jared Priest? The two-time Gold Glove Award winner Priest stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put San Francisco up, 5-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
