Muzzy Now 10-2 After Beating Scorpions

Sean Muzzy was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Fountain Park. In fact, the Fountain Hills 23ers left-hander was instrumental in his team's 2-0 victory over the Syracuse Scorpions. Joe Woolverton was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 7 save opportunities. The 23ers improved their record to 50-46 by beating Syracuse.
Muzzy, who was born in Chicago, Illinois, threw 108 pitches over 7.2 innings, while allowing no runs.
"It's no secret that good defense follows around people who throw strikes," said Fountain Hills manager Efren Nieman.
