Daigre Lifts Colonels to 4-3 Triumph
|
Tiverton right fielder Chris Daigre picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Moncton Mounties, 4-3. The Colonels are now 49-58.
Daigre contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Tiverton in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Daigre took a fastball from Mark Luby and stroked the home run to left. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Colonels to leap in front, 2-1.
Daigre told a Tiverton News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
