Starting pitcher Colin Andrus pitched well enough to help the Moncton Mounties beat the Buffalo Bellflowers, 9-6. Moncton reliever Greg Ricketts snagged the win, upping his record to 1-2. Manny Velez shouldered the loss. The Mounties saw their win-loss record go to 55-50. At the same time, the Bellflowers fell to 65-40.

Moncton used a clutch hit from Collin Mays to get the win. The right fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mounties ahead, 7-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Mays.
