Mounties Click Off Another Win, 12-3
The Moncton Mounties cruised to a win over the Long Island Torpedoes, 12-3, at Centerville Grounds. Travis Grossman led the way, going 1-for-3 for Moncton. Victor Mendoza got credit for the win, improving to 8-0. He allowed no runs on 5 hits in 6.2 innings. Moncton has now reeled off 17 straight wins.

The Mounties got a big hit from catcher Ivan Camarillo. Facing Long Island pitcher Bruno Guarani in the top of the sixth, Camarillo pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 19th home run of the season put the Mounties ahead, 12-0.

"Just trying to help my team," said Camarillo. "That's all I want."
