Spirited fans greeted the Whitby Bats for their clash with the Buffalo Bellflowers.

Buffalo catcher Josh Hornsby contributed significantly to his team's 7-2 win over the Whitby Bats. Hornsby, who is rated as the 94th best prospect by BNN, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bellflowers. Buffalo pitcher Eric Osborne earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Chae-seong Whang suffered the loss.

Buffalo took a 4-2 lead on Hornsby's 1st triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which he hit off Sergio Hernandez in the top of the seventh, propelled Buffalo to the win.

Said Whitby manager Mike Boyd: "They did a lot of things right. We did a lot of things wrong."

Even with the win, the Bellflowers have a dismal 31-68 record.
