Fans watched the Chicago Gangsters and the Detroit Giants fight to the finish.

Though he had a terrific game, Keith Brosch could not prevent his team, the Detroit Giants, from absorbing a loss. Chicago won the game, 7-6. Brosch was 4 for 5 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Chicago reliever Ruben Lopez got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Justin Thompson was tagged with the loss. Keith Kramer finished the game for Chicago and earned his 3rd save.

Chicago won the game in part because of Josh Wachter. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Gangsters ahead, 7-1. For the game, Wachter had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Wachter. "But it's all business when we're on the field."

The loss makes Detroit 2-8.
