Tom Lusardi led Syracuse to a win over San Francisco. The final score was 9-7. Lusardi collected 3 runs batted in, while going 3 for 4 at the plate. The first baseman also scored 2 times. Had Bobby Tapia not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Tapia hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Scorpions.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Syracuse manager Ricardo Lopez.
