Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Reapers beat the Desperados.

The Carolina Reapers beat the Austin Desperados, 13-8, at Reedy River Stadium. Carolina center fielder Blake Benigno had the hot bat. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. B.J. Rudolph, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 5 runs on 11 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 5-8.

Dylan Wechsler contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. His at-bat helped Carolina get the win.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Wechsler told the Carolina Bulletin.
