Indianapolis Makes Philadelphia 3-2 Losers
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Indianapolis Eagles and the Philadelphia Marauders, Jesse Walker, who finished 3rd in the NC in ERA with 2.72 in 2022, proved to be the difference. The Indianapolis right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Eagles win. Josh Riddick earned the save for Indianapolis. The win puts the Eagles at 57-38, while the Marauders drop to 58-37.
In the bottom of the second, Indianapolis left fielder Jerry Robinson whacked a fastball to left for a 2-run home run. His 23rd home run of the season put the Eagles in front, 2-0.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Philadelphia manager Danny Ordaz.
