McKinstry Homers Twice in 9-1 Wild Things Win
Cleveland and Dallas got after it at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark.

The exploits of first baseman Steve McKinstry, who finished 2nd in the AC in RBI with 136 last year, helped the Cleveland Wild Things defeat the Dallas Dragons, 9-1. McKinstry hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 and driving in 3. Efrain Gutierrez got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Dragons to 1 run on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2.

Joe Casselman, the 23-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Casselman contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put Cleveland up, 2-0.

McKinstry told a Cleveland Observer reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

The loss makes Dallas 2-8.
