Fire Strike Down Gangsters, 9-3
The San Francisco Fire pinned a convincing loss on the Chicago Gangsters, 9-3, at San Francisco Grounds. Jeff Mullinax was a main factor in the win. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times for San Francisco. The Fire raised their record to 47-48.

Malcolm Babcock hit a 2-run triple off Ronnie Miller in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Fire in front, 5-3. Babcock had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 4.

San Francisco manager Zach Freeman was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
