Buffalo right-hander Jesus Beltre helped his team edge Long Island by the score of 3-2. Beltre kept the opposing lineup in check. Jonathan Kellerstrass snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Jose Herrera suffered the loss. Buffalo bumps their record to 53-24 with the win.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 3rd and one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when left fielder Carlos Campos hit a sacrifice fly. The Bellflowers went on to win.
