10 Straight Wins for Pines
The Maine Pines picked up a win at Oakhurst Field, dropping the Detroit Giants, 5-4. Ryan Henry, who is tied for 5th in the NC in quality starts with 12, was the difference-maker. Maine, now 65-29, has won 10 straight games.

The Pines got a big hit from first baseman Josh Alcorn. Facing Detroit pitcher Mike Wroten in the bottom of the fifth, Alcorn pounded a 3-run home run to left-center. His 14th home run of the season put the Pines ahead, 5-0.

"I like our vibe," said Alcorn. "It's a winning vibe."
