The home crowd had a good time watching the Buffalo Bellflowers and Moncton Mounties get after it.

A good performance from designated hitter Charlie Harrison helped the Moncton Mounties defeat the Buffalo Bellflowers, 6-0. Harrison went 2-3 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Mounties. With the win, Moncton raised its record to 40-32.

The Mounties got a big at-bat from shortstop Jim Gavilanes. For the game, Gavilanes went 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Moncton a 2-0 lead.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Harrison told the Moncton Daily.
