Mexico City beat Tampa Bay at Ahoy Park, eking out a 5-4 win. The triumph was primarily due to designated hitter Corey Cawley. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The second-place Aztecs go to 52-42.

Mexico City used a well-timed hit by Richard Ulmer to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Aztecs ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I was a little disappointed," said Tampa Bay manager Jalen Armour. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
